SB Architects Acquired by EGIS Group

We congratulate our client, SB Architects, LLC ("SB Architects" or "SBA"), on its sale to the

international engineering and construction firm, Egis Group (“Egis”). The acquisition of SB Architects

will strengthen Egis’ North American presence and bolster its hospitality practice.

Based in San Francisco, SB Architects is recognized as a leader in hospitality, residential, and

mixed-use architecture in thirty countries and across four continents. The practice has designed

award-winning projects around the world and brings the expertise of over 100 professionals.

Based in France, Egis Group is a global leader in the consulting, construction, engineering, and

mobility service sectors. The group designs and operates intelligent infrastructure and buildings

capable of responding to the climate emergency and helping to achieve more balanced, sustainable,

and resilient territorial development. With operations in 120 countries, Egis has 17,000 employees

and provides cutting-edge innovation.

Egis’ strategic plan includes establishing a portfolio of innovative architecture practices worldwide

with the goal of further driving opportunities. In 2017, Egis acquired Hong Kong-based 10 Design

and in March 2022, acquired London-based Weston Williamson + Partners. The addition of SBA will

allow Egis to compete for high-profile projects in new markets.

Matheson Advisors provided sell-side M&A services to SB Architects and negotiated and structured

the transaction on behalf of SBA.
