We congratulate our client, Hardesty & Hanover (“H&H”), on their acquisition of Texas-based P.E.
Structural Consultants (“PESC”). The acquisition will expand H&H’s geographic reach into Texas and
continue to grow its transportation and bridge engineering practice.
Hardesty & Hanover is a 440-person full-service infrastructure engineering firm headquartered in New
York. The firm was founded over 130 years ago and now has 31 offices in the United States and United
Kingdom. Through the firm’s successful history, H&H has grown into an internationally recognized
consulting firm delivering structural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, and civil engineering services
to a variety of clients and markets around the world, including complex bridges, roadways and
expressways, tunnel systems, railroad structures, and other heavy movable structures including
stadiums and arenas. Hardesty & Hanover is particularly known for its reputation in movable bridge
design. The firm ranked #155 on the 2022 ENR 500 Design Firms list.
Founded in 1992 and based in Austin, TX, PESC is an engineering firm specializing in structural
engineering and architectural design of bridges with over 25 employees. PESC has established a broad
client base of private and public sector clients including public agencies, counties, municipalities, and
private owners throughout Texas.
The acquisition will expand H&H’s geographic reach into the southwest region of the United States. In
May 2022, H&H also opened its first international office in London to support its ongoing work in
England, Ireland, and Scotland.
